Car Line Reminders

A big THANK YOU to all of our parents who are displaying their car tags when they drive in for arrival dismissal. It really helps us distinguish between church traffic and Telra traffic. This was especially helpful on 3/3 due to voting at St Francis.

We are expecting rain early next week - so please remember to leave early to allow yourself time for slowdowns due to rain, traffic, and accidents!

The Telra Times

Telra Geography Bee

Our 2026 National Geography Bee School Champion is none other than Isaiah Lopez — the human GPS, the walking atlas, the kid who probably knows the capital of a place before it even becomes a country.

Isaiah will now journey (possibly without needing directions) to compete for a spot at the National Tournament in Cambridge, Massachusetts this May!

Telra Culture Fair

We are thrilled to announce that our school will be hosting a Culture Fair event on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 5-7pm, and we would love to invite you and your family to join us in celebrating the wondrous cultures that make Telra such a vibrant community.

What is the Culture Fair?

Our Culture Fair offers an exciting opportunity for us to come together, share our unique traditions, and celebrate the many cultures that make up our school. It's a day to learn from each other, foster mutual understanding, and deepen our appreciation for the diverse backgrounds that enrich our community.

While traditional elements like cuisine, dance, attire, and celebrations from around the world will be a highlight of the event, we also recognize that culture is not limited to these practices. Culture is also shaped by the passions, interests, and identities that make each of us unique.

How You Can Participate

We invite you to participate in the Telra Culture Fair in whatever way feels meaningful to you. Whether you'd like to share a piece of your culture, showcase a tradition or hobby, or simply attend and enjoy the festivities with your family, your presence will be deeply appreciated. We welcome volunteers to help with organizing activities, setting up tables, or contributing in any other way that interests you. Your involvement will make a significant impact on the experience we create for our students and the entire Telra community.

If you'd like to participate or volunteer, please review the available slots and sign-up by clicking below.

Should you have any questions or need more information, feel free to email karly.lucas@telra.org.

Arts and Craft Fair - May 12th, 5-7pm

We are excited to hold an Arts and Crafts Fair so our students can showcase their arts and crafts! The event will be held on Tuesday, May 12th, from 5-7pm on the first floor of Telra and in our gym. All Telra families are invited to attend and see the amazing Art created by our students and the amazing wares for sale. Students in 4th grade and above are invited to sell their crafts and can sign up beginning next week.

The deadline to sign up is Monday, 5/4.

Important information to note:

  1. The table(s) requested must be decorated by the student.

  2. All arts and crafts that you are planning to sell are subject to approval by Mrs. Hinkle prior to the event.

  3. All arts and crafts made are to be completed outside of school hours.

  4. All supplies to make the arts and crafts must be purchased by the student or student's family.

  5. Plan to stay after school on May 12th to set up your table and be ready to start the event at 5pm.

  6. A parent or guardian should accompany the student at the event and be present for the duration of the event.

We will have the Vita da Pizza food truck and a dessert truck. Please plan to support these local businesses while you are here.

Parking will be across the street at McKee Elementary and we will run a shuttle back and forth throughout the duration of the event. Please do not attempt to cross the street on foot.

Helping Hands

Parents, we need your help! Please sign up to volunteer for "Helping Hands" - these helpers assist Telra staff by volunteering on Tuesdays or Fridays from 9-11am - completing tasks left for them in the "Helping Hands" box in the teacher workroom. These tasks may include copying papers, cutting out items, organizing the Lost and Found area, or re-shelving books in the neighborhood libraries - these are just a few examples of how you can help! When we have special requests, they will be added to the sign-up.

The Front Desk staff will assist you on where to go and what needs to be done. Please review the available slots in the link below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you for supporting our awesome staff!
