Field trips update

We just finished a week of field trips, and we encourage you to follow our Facebook page where we'll be posting some photos from the trips over the break.

You may have noticed that all of last week's field trips were provided free-of-charge to Telra students. This is not the norm at other schools.

We are able to provide this seamless and inclusive experience for Telra families because of the generosity of Telra Annual Use fund donors. Many families like yours have already donated to 𝜏au - the top fundraising priority for the school.

With the year-end approaching, you may want to take advantage of any employer matches or tax deduction opportunities with a donation to 𝜏au before December 31.

We ask that every family contribute what they can so that we can keep improving the Telra experience for our students.

Charter schools receive far less in resources & funding than other public schools, and your contributions to 𝜏au support everything from school buses to field trips, teacher compensation to yearbooks, the Family Council, and all our clubs and sports. We need your help to enhance the experience for our students and attract and retain high-quality staff.

This video explains the why behind 𝜏au  - giving you a perspective into the funding gap, how the funds will be used, and why the annual fund structure is the best way to raise these funds. Please set aside some time to watch and learn why your support is critical.

Visit the 𝜏au home page where you can learn more, and it's quick and easy for you to support the cause.

  2. Log in to your student's Teams account and update their Dismissal Portal: https://www.telra.org/quick-links

Signing up at least 24 hours in advance ensures we have adequate staffing.

Students not pre-registered will incur a late fee of $15 per 15 minutes.

Lost and Found

Lost and found is donated to a local charity at the end of each month. The Operations staff go through all items and deliver any with names to the student's cubby or locker. If there is no name, they are donated.

Please come to the school between 9am-3pm and pick up any items you do not want donated by Tuesday, 12/30/25*. Our staff will be onsite on the following days: 12/23, 12/24, 12/29, 12/30, 12/31, and 1/2/26. We have many, many items that have been left and are not able to store items past the end of each month.

*Remember to label all your items!

Telra Lunch

Have you had a chance to pre-order lunches for your students following Winter Break?

Please remember that all lunch orders must be placed at least two weeks in advance, including orders that fall during the break. Planning ahead will help ensure lunches are available when students return. Orders for the week of January 5th were placed today.
