A Note from the Principals

Dear Telra Families,

Once again, Mother Nature is showing off her beauty—spring is here, and the outdoors couldn’t be more wonderful! I hope you’re all enjoying this lovely weather as much as we are.

As we near the end of the year, we still have plenty to accomplish together. Our goal is for every child to finish strong, doing their very best on their TELRA assessments and state tests. To make this happen, we always focus on maximizing instruction time and minimizing distractions. One key way to support this is by helping students be in class from the very first minute to the last.

Lately, we’ve noticed an increase in late arrivals, especially after the daylight-saving time change. More students have been arriving after the start time, so we’d like to revisit our arrival procedures to help everyone stay on track.

As you may know, we have three designated arrival time zones: Green, Yellow, and Red. If you drop your child off during the Red Zone, they will most likely be late to their first block and marked tardy by the teacher. Additionally, if you arrive after 8:15 AM, please park in the pavilion (upper) parking lot and walk your child to the front door to sign them in. Our Operations team will provide a late pass before sending them to class.

Find this and more on the Arrival and Departure page on our website:

We have a few safety reminders too. We’ve observed some cars moving quickly or switching lanes abruptly. Even a small accident can have serious consequences, and we know everyone wants to keep our school community safe. Please take it slow and stay patient in the carline. In addition, some parents have been parking in the pavilion and sending their children across without joining the carline. For safety and efficiency, we ask that all families follow the carline procedures outlined on our website.

We truly appreciate your partnership in making arrival smooth, safe, and stress-free for everyone. Thank you for your attention to these reminders—let’s finish the year strong together!

Telra Culture Fair

We are thrilled to announce that our school will be hosting a Culture Fair event on April 1, 2025, and we would love to invite you and your family to join us in celebrating the wondrous cultures that make Telra such a vibrant community.

What is the Culture Fair?

Our Culture Fair offers an exciting opportunity for us to come together, share our unique traditions, and celebrate the many cultures that make up our school. It's a day to learn from each other, foster mutual understanding, and deepen our appreciation for the diverse backgrounds that enrich our community.

While traditional elements like cuisine, dance, attire, and celebrations from around the world will be a highlight of the event, we also recognize that culture is not limited to these practices. Culture is also shaped by the passions, interests, and identities that make each of us unique.

How You Can Participate

We invite you to participate in the Telra Culture Fair in whatever way feels meaningful to you. Whether you'd like to share a piece of your culture, showcase a tradition or hobby, or simply attend and enjoy the festivities with your family, your presence will be deeply appreciated. We welcome volunteers to help with organizing activities, setting up tables, or contributing in any other way that interests you. Your involvement will make a significant impact on the experience we create for our students and the entire Telra community.

If you'd like to participate or volunteer, please review the available slots and sign-up here. Should you have any questions or need more information, feel free to email karly.lucas@telra.org.
