A Note from the Principals

We got a bit of a taste of spring this past week! We hope you all were able to enjoy some of the beautiful weather.

We really enjoyed our movie nights last week, and we would like to shout out Mrs. Clardy and Mrs. Lee for taking the lead in putting those on for our students. This week, we hope to see many of you at the movie nights for kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 6th grade!

This week, we want to highlight some uniform reminders to ensure your child is in dress code. For our full dress code, please visit https://www.telra.org/uniforms.

  1. Hoodies may not be worn inside the building. Students may wear a hoodie outside, but it must be removed when they enter the building.

  2. Pants must be dress style. Corduroy, knit, and athletic/jogger pants are not acceptable uniform items. We have noticed more students wearing sweatpants or yoga pants recently, so please be sure your children are wearing dress style pants to school.

  3. Skirts must be dress style and no more than 2 inches above the knee. We recognize that kids grow quickly, and sometimes a skirt that fit perfectly a month ago is now too short. Please double check that skirts are the appropriate length.

  4. Tennis shoes must be worn by all students. Dress shoes, heels, boots, and sandals are not permitted. Please be sure your child is wearing appropriate tennis shoes.

Thank you for helping us ensure that your dress code is followed so we can support active kids, minimize distraction, and reinforce pride in self and in school. We appreciate your support!

Telra provides one free yearbook to every student who was enrolled with us in the 23-24 school year. This is only possible through the generosity of families who support the the Telra Annual Use Fund (τau). Learn more about it here: https://www.telra.org/tau.

Telra Culture Fair

We are thrilled to announce that our school will be hosting a Culture Fair event on April 1, 2025, and we would love to invite you and your family to join us in celebrating the wondrous cultures that make Telra such a vibrant community.

What is the Culture Fair?

Our Culture Fair offers an exciting opportunity for us to come together, share our unique traditions, and celebrate the many cultures that make up our school. It's a day to learn from each other, foster mutual understanding, and deepen our appreciation for the diverse backgrounds that enrich our community.

While traditional elements like cuisine, dance, attire, and celebrations from around the world will be a highlight of the event, we also recognize that culture is not limited to these practices. Culture is also shaped by the passions, interests, and identities that make each of us unique.

How You Can Participate

We invite you to participate in the Telra Culture Fair in whatever way feels meaningful to you. Whether you'd like to share a piece of your culture, showcase a tradition, or simply attend and enjoy the festivities with your family, your presence will be deeply appreciated. We welcome volunteers to help with organizing activities, setting up tables, or contributing in any other way that interests you. Your involvement will make a significant impact on the experience we create for our students and the entire Telra community.

If you'd like to participate or volunteer, please review the available slots and sign-up here. Should you have any questions or need more information, feel free to email karly.lucas@telra.org.
