Telra Telegram - April 10, 2025

With two months to go in the school year, our momentum is continuing with many club offerings, events, tutoring, and field trips on the horizon! Help us make the end of the school year a success by supporting our events and volunteering if you can!

Tomorrow, we have two Arts and Science Council events at Telra - the OTC Improv for our 6-9th graders, and the Story Ship for our K-3rd graders. Please discuss these experiences with your children!

We wish you a wonderful Spring Break! There is no school next week, and April 21 is a staff workday, so students will be back on Tuesday, April 22.

A Note from the Principals

Dear Telra Families,

How quickly the year has flown by! We hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break filled with time with family. We look forward to hearing all about everyone’s break when students return on April 22nd!

This week, we want to focus on keeping our building clean. In order to do this, students may not have snacks or beverages other than water in the classroom or neighborhood areas. Students should only eat in the cafeteria or a designated snack location if their grade level has snack time. There are a few reasons for this. First, snacks attract insects! As spring begins and bugs become more active, we want to ensure that the bugs stay outside where they belong. When there is food in the building that does not get appropriately cleaned up, this can cause bugs to make their way inside. Additionally, snacks and non-water beverages create a sticky mess when spilled. We want to ensure we respect the building and that everyone has a clean space to learn. Water spills are much easier to clean up than soda!

On a related note, please know that students may not chew gum in the building or on the school grounds at any time.

We appreciate your help in ensuring that our building can be a clean space for everyone to learn!

Help us make this event one to remember! We need a lot of assistance hanging artwork in preparation for the event. We will need volunteers every day after school for at least an hour. Sign up to help via this link.
