Alma Forms and Processes

Alma is used for many purposes at Telra, including for some critical day-to-day processes where parents can submit requests. By handling routine requests this way, it limits mistakes and it helps keep our frontdesk@telra.org inbox and phone-line clear to help families with more unique needs.

Key forms / processes

  • Absence report - Is your child home sick? Out of town? Let us know by 9am using this form so that their attendance can be properly recorded.

  • Dismissal Plan Update - What is your child doing after school? Riding the bus, coming home by car, staying late for a club? Are they leaving early?

    • Use this form to tell us what your typical M-F plan is going to be. We ask that all families complete this form at least once, and file a new form as often as required.

      • The default option is assumed to be "car line" if we don't hear any different

    • Need to make a change? Fill out the form again with the change needed no later than 1pm on the day the change becomes active. Any changes you make will remain in place until you submit this form again.

      • So if you intend this to be a one-time deviation, be sure to revisit this form after the evening of the modified dismissal and reset your selections to how you'd like your child to dismiss going forward.

    • Early pickups also use this form (it functions like a one-day dismissal change)

  • Carpool forms -  Help us streamline the car tag system. Displaying multiple car tags in your windshield slows down our process and makes car line take longer for everyone

    • Use the Carpool bundle request - repeating form if you are regularly part of a carpool group. We need all carpool participants in the bundle to fill out this form so that we can give you official and ongoing recognition

    • Use the Carpool bundle request - one time form if your child is riding with a friend for just one day.

How to use it

  • Log into Alma at https://telra.getalma.com (don't log into Alma Start directly)

  • On your Alma home screen, you should see your child's name, and below that, a link to "Alma Start Forms and Tasks" - click there

  • That takes you to Alma Start, where you'll see you children's names once again

  • Select a child, and then click the green "Begin New Process" button
  • Use the pull-down menu to select the 2023-2024 school year. Once you do that, you should see the available Processes
  • Click the Form you need and then the green "Select" button
  • Now the Process you selected should appear under "Active Processes." You can click on the blue arrow to launch it.
  • You next see the form name (or multiple forms, if it's a longer process with lots of forms) and "tap to begin"
  • Complete the form(s) and make sure to hit "Complete" at the bottom when you are done. (Clicking Save on top saves your progress in case you need to stop and come back later, but it doesn't submit the form to us.)
