Happy Friday! Next week is a short week for Telra as our students have Thursday and Friday off. I know many of our Telra Families appreciate the Halloween day off to enjoy some fun traditions with your friends, family, and neighbors. (And they enjoy having November 1 off to recover from a late night of revelry and candy.)

Telra Day at the Renaissance Festival - November 17
Hear ye, hear ye! Good scholars of the realm, prithee attend closely to mine words, for a grand revelry doth approach with much haste!
In these moons past, with noses buried in parchment, our young squires and maidens have ventured through tales of yore, acquainting themselves with the venerable age of chivalry and the grand tales of King Arthur and the Renaissance period. The hour nighs to step forth from the confines of lore and breathe life into these chronicles.
Huzzah! Let it be known throughout the lands: Ye and thine kin are cordially bidden to join the Telra assembly at the esteemed Carolina Renaissance Festival on the Sun's day, the seventeenth of November. Prepare thyselves for a day teeming with historical pageants, attire of the olden days, and fancies most whimsical. Should there be murk and mystery o'er what may unfold, cast thine eyes upon the festival's scroll in the web of the world.
When to embark on this merry adventure?
- Mark the 17th of November, from the 9:30am - 5:30pm.
- The Telra kin shall claim their own in the stands of honour at the jousting tournament, come the hour of 2:15pm.
- Mayhap we seize the chance for a painted memory together; thereafter, wander as ye wish, exploring the festival's rich tapestry at thine own pace.
How to journey thither?
- Pledge thine attendance through yon digital form, that we may secure enough room in our reserved quarters: https://forms.office.com/r/4tAxFun5c9
- Exchange thy coin for passage here, good sire and dame: https://www.carolina.renfestinfo.com/buy-tickets
- Fret not o'er tickets for younglings. See the script below.
- Seek the path least astray: https://www.carolina.renfestinfo.com/driving-directions
What garb to don?
- The 17th of November is tethered to a Time Traveler's feast: https://www.carolina.renfestinfo.com/special-event-weekends/timetravelers
- Express thyself in costume, be it of medieval knights and fair maidens, champions of lore, characters of beloved tomes, or even in the spirited raiment of Telra!
What to bear with thee?
- On this special Sun's day, young squires and maidens 'twixt the ages of five and twelve shall gain free admittance with but a humble offering of school wares.
- Thy contributions shall be bestowed upon Classroom Central, merging merriment and charity, thus warming the cockles of our beloved community's heart.
In sooth, let us away, to make merry and indulge in the delights of yesteryears! The morrow awaits with open arms, ready to embrace our foray into the annals of history. Huzzah!
Technology use
Parents, please help us reinforce the expectations of responsible technology use with your children.
Students who have been assigned individual devices may not use another student's device without staff permission.
Gaming is not allowed during school hours. Our team monitors usage as best we can and we block websites when we become aware of misuse. Please remind your child at home that school is not a place for video games.
We want our technology to last - laptops must be properly placed in charging carts when not in use. Leaving them in lockers, cubbies, or unattended in public places is a violation of the policy.
Our Technology Manager, Mr. Newton, has put together this letter to review with your child. Please reach out to ITHelp@telra.org with any questions or concerns.
